broke a hub bolt
I broke one of the 3 12pt 1/2" bolts that hold the hub onto the steering knuckle. Can I just replace this with the same size bolt, or should I goto the dealer and see if they have one in stock. I dont see what the big deal would be in the difference especially if I got something that was grade 8, but I dont know alot about the front end of these rigs. So what do you guys think?
Thanks
Greg

See if you can get a senior citizen friend to buy it at the dealer. Most Chrysler dealers, if not all, give a 10% senior discount.

are you replacing the hub? if so, don't worry about that broken bolt.
but yeah, get a new one. i tried to get them from the dealer, but apparently they're not available.
i pull spares out of all my parts jeeps. junk yard is a good source too. i doubt many guys work on their own stock junk and mechanics are usually pretty good as to following recommended torque spec's.
