Default Broke both battery tray studs

I snapped off the studs for my battery tray. I have read of some people just drilling new holes and throwing a bolt in. Do I need a tap and die kit? Or can I get away with just a drill bit? Open to better ideas as well

Just drill though the battery the broken studs and glue in the new bolts that way it will be easier to install tray .

That sounds a bit sketchy......

Maybe drill through the battery tray?

I just used some quarter inch all thread with a couple of locking nuts above and below the tray to keep it in place. Some epoxy might not be a bad idea.
