Default Brakes dont stop...

hey guys, so i changed my calipers the other day and before i did my brakes werent teh best but they worked, and after the change i bled them wasnt even firm, so i bled the line on two did days, just to make sure there was no air, and theres not , so the pedal is a bit firm the last 1/4 throw, but doesnt engauge hard enough to lock the tires or even slow it down fast....

heres what ive checked
Brake booster(did the tests)
vacuum line check(its sucking)
all visable lines are not leaking or damaged
all bleeder's are closed
no air in system(in lines)
all new fluid

the only thing i can maybe think of if i need to bleed my Booster or MC, but i have no clue, any ideas?

I know you said you bled the lines but , did you bleed the rear also? Start at the ps rear then ds rear then ps front then ds front. In that order. You always bleed from the furthest point from the MC. Good luck.

Did you bleed all four or just the two fronts you changed? If they worked ok before and all you did was the caliper change I'm thinking you still have air in your system. Bleed all four start with right rear then left rear, right front and finally left front and see if that does'nt take care of it.

i did end up bleeding all four yesterday , cause i thought some air coulda gone back into the rear, but didnt change anything, so what i did just now was adjust the rear drums so they were almost dragging , and now the pedal firms up at the 1/2 way mark now,, so thats some progress, its still doesnt lock up ,

Cool

I have to ask this question.....These calipers are universal fit, by any chance did you put the left on the right and vise versa? Are the bleeder screws for the calipers on the top were they should be?

Also check your hoses. 1 could be collapsed or plugged. If it is then it wont give you a firm pedal.

Sounds like the cable that goes from the anchor post to the adjuster lever. The spring is an override spring that permits the secondary brake shoe to contact the drum if the adjuster screw freezes up. If you want the self-adjusters to work, you need this part.

if a hose is collpased it will have a normal/quick pedal, it lets the fluid to the caliper but not back out, therefore a dragging brake.
