Default Brake rotors different on each side?

Hi everyone. My 99 Cherokee (4.0,automatic,4wd,4door sport) needed brakes so I bought new rotors and calipers. Everything seemed fine when I bolted it together but the drivers side wheel seized up when I tried to put the locking screws in.
is it possible some previous owner swapped the hub from an earlier year and now I have different rotor depths? Parts were bought for a 99 model year. I see the 97-98 are different part numbers. Is the hub interchangeable between years? What’s the easiest way to correct this? The calipers appear to work so I am using mismatched rotors at the moment.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Yes, same thing happened to me last year. I bought rotors for my ‘99 and realized one didn’t fit correctly, when I had rubbing.
I now have one early and one late style rotor..

99 is a split year for the change in wheel hub/ brake rotors. Its probable someone replaced the wheel hub with the "wrong" one and now you've got one cast and one composite rotor.

is it the hub or the caliper? I ran into this issue years ago and thought it was only a rotor/caliper thing. Hubs stayed the same. I could very well be wrong. When it happened to me, I just swapped back over the original calipers and rotors and the issue was gone. Axle came out of a GC (don’t remember the year) and went on my 99.

Hub and rotor. Calipers and pads stayed the same.

Now I can go measure and figure out which is which.
Also wondering if anyone makes hubs with the newer bolt pattern? 5x5” ?
Thanks for this.

I don’t have measurements but I know I had them on the bench and they were the same height. My bench is cluttered and I had a manual laid out on top of them. I closed the manual, put it flat on the rotors and then ate lunch on top of that. I would have noticed my glass leaning a little bit if they were different heights. lol.

The difference is 1/8 inch...not so obvious..hopefully this link works...cant get it....older rotors 3 3/16 to top of hat, and 2 1/4 from top of rotor to top of tophat. The newer rotor is 3 1/16 to tophat and 2 1/8 from rotor to tophat.
