Brake replacement trouble
Hey guys, I just replaced my rear drum brakes and when I tried to put the cover back on it was really tight and I had to set the adjustor all the way down. I eventually got the cover on but now it is not rotating. The new cover matches the old cover and I put the proper 9 inch drums and the proper 9 inch cover on it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Sometimes your wheel cylinder is not pushed back in far enough. Make sure the ebrake bar and spring(term ?) is lined up, keeping shoes from pushing wheel cylinders in. That was my latest duh move when I did my rears.

With properly adjusted rear shoes the friction material is just off the drum. If you had to hammer the drum on it's not assembled correctly. Look at the opposite side to see a mirror image of how it goes back together.

Thanks for the responses guys, the emergency break kept falling out of place and I had a spring that was not snapping back correctly. I got it but I had to take it apart a lot. This was my first time doing it so next time I will be a pro!
