So this is now the 3rd time i had to replace the drivers side door hinge pins due to sagging. I swear i am gentle with my doors too, Im getting the dorman hinge pin kits. Maybe theyre a cheap part?

XJs have problems with the hinge welds going bad. Its one of the things I looked for when I was checking out my XJ before I bought it. When the door is open, pull up on the handle end of the door and look to see if you see movement where the welds are supposed to be. May have small cracks that arent noticeable until you move the door up and down, which is causing the extra tension on your hinges.

What RockyMtn said, also personally I feel Dorman products just suck. Unfortunately, sometimes they are the only options especially on older vehicles. If OEM hinge pins are available, the extra spent on them will be worth it. There are suitable other aftermarket ones out there, but it is hit and miss. Those pins need to fit SNUG, and most of what I have seen still leave some gap and play in them, so you will always be back to square one at some point.

I already had that issue repaired. its just the fact the pin bushings are wearing out prematurely. I do move the door up and down and the welds are solid. The copper or brass bushing is wearing out quickly. Once theyre replaced theyre fantastic for about a year then suddenly they go saggy. im ruling out theyre just cheap at this point but i wanted other opinions first.

Hmmm... try some white lithium grease in there. Maybe there is too much friction and they're getting rubbed and material is deteriorating. I wonder if you could find some teflon inserts to put in there around the hinge pins to help with friction. But that may be a dumb idea since its plastic and it could just wear out even faster even though the door has less friction.... Are you in and out of the jeep a lot? Or is it just to and from work and normal driving routine...? Or do you like deliver for Amazon or something and your in and out 50 times a day...
