Default Blowing out of defroster only

Okay so i saw a thread for this for a different year, where is the vacuum line for the vents on a 87 cherokee wagoneer limited?

Default vacuum line

look near the battery, theres a line that goes to the canister in the bumper. they usually break near the hood latches.

So the canister is in the same spot on all the XJ's?

I have a brand new canister that I got for my 92 XJ which I ended up not using if you are interested.

I need to tear into it probably tomorrow to find out if its the canister or the hoses. If its the canister i will hit you up and mount it somewhere not under the battery lol

See when i look through the bumper i dont see that... I see like a fuel filter looking thing in there... Maybe i need to get under it?

it may not look just like that follow the vacuum lines coming out of fire wall close to the blower motor they should go under bat into the aera by pass head light a lot of time the bat acid will eat thru the line and cause a leak

Update! Got time to get into the jeep yesterday to do some work and turns out sure enough one of the vacuum lines had a hole rubbed in it about the size of a pin head about 4 inches from the firewall. patched it up now it blows out of the vents! Just gotta get my a/c charged next spring and im good to go!
