Default Blowin Oil

First off, HI noob here!
Just picked up a 88 Cherokee Chief 4.0. Needed a rig to tow behind a motorhome and as we have 2 of them in elk camp am used to them..
I'm blowing oil out the pcv and fill and the back vac. hole. No smoke out the tail pipe. Looks like egr vac. line are capped and reconnected. Runs fine with plenty of power. When idleing plenty of vac. at the filler, but running on the road after wipeing the valvecover off oil will be back. Haven't done a compresion check yet, will do that after it warms up a bit pretty frosty ou this am. I'm not quite as old as dirt, but allmost. Hands can't take the cold. LOL

That's a consequence of engine blow-by. It's normal in older jeeps. There is an upgrade kit at the dealer, or if you want to stay cheap unplug the breather tube from the filter box and stick it into a plastic bottle to collect the oil.
In alternative you can do something like this:

May be an easy fix. Figured it was from blowby. Thought something wasn't sucking at higher speeds. Some PO removed the cat didn't know if that had something to do with it or not.

Thanks 93XJLI. My VC has gromets and a pcv valve on it and a cork gasket. Might need a good cleaning inside! At least I have a place to start.

Pull the valve cover off yesterday and got everything cleaned up. Gromets were tolaly pluged. Did a little freeway run and didn't see any new oil on the VC so at least I slowed down the leaks. Just want to say THANKS for the point in the right direction.
