hmph. run a lead directly to the blower motor and see if it works.

It's under the hood, on the passenger side, hanging through a hole in the firewall. On my 89, it's under a metal plate that holds a coolant tank. On a friend's 94, it's underneath the washer fluid reservoir, both of which are easy to remove. You can follow the only harness that comes from the motor to a connector that you can disconnect. Throw some wires onto the battery terminals, and connect them to the terminals in the socket going to the motor. If the motor fires up, it could be your blower motor resistor gone bad. On said mentioned friend's truck, it turned out to be a dying motor that killed his resistor. On my truck, the fuse was good, but had melted the socket. Good luck!

My buddy's was intermittent like that. If it stops working again, turn the heat on full blast and tap the motor a few times with a hammer. If it kicks on, then your motor is going bad.
