Default Blower Motor Resistor

Hey guys, came across another problem, the A/C problem is underway as we speak, but now my blower only works on high, how would I tell if my resistor is bad?

Mine looked just like that when I replaced it, all rusted. If you need one today advance auto has one for $22 and if you use the promo code p20 at checkout you'll get 20% off. This is the one I got cuz I didn't wanna wait for shipping

I usually put the blower switch on medium, hold the resistor in my hand, and touch my tongue to the different coils of the resistor to determine which ones have failed.

As far as I know there isn't anyway to rejuvenate them. When the fail they will default to only work on high (#4 position) You would be best off just replacing it. When mine went out it didn't look half as bad as yours does. I picked mine up at AutoZone for around $20. That was about 2 years ago and haven't had a problem with it since.

How do you test the ignition coil?

Spray the front of my jeans with water. Hold my tongue to the hood prop rod and the coil wire to my groin while a helper cranks the engine over. For some reason, my wife is always anxious to help with it, but I can't ever get her to help me bleed brakes......

The sad thing is now I can picture someone trying to test it like that.
