Default Blower Motor Issue

I have a 99 Cherokee Sport 4x4 4.0 and the blower is on a constant SLOW speed - I changed the switches and same issue - it does change to the different settings for floor face etc. and will change to hot/cold - just the speed will not change - any suggestions - it's cold out? Thank You!

Maybe the resistor needs to be replaced?

Replace the resistor in the heater box.
The resistor controls the fan speeds.

Resistor sounds like the culprit. This happened in my old Dodge Dakota and I just sprayed it with some electrical contact spray and it worked wonders. Hope it fixes your problem, too.

Well - I figured it out - next to the resistor is the blower motor RELAY - $11.50 at AutoZone - replaced that and I have heat thats hot and blows real fast.... Hope this helps others...
