Blower Motor
Hi, I've done a lot of reading about this on the forum but I have a question. I have a 93 cherokee.
My blower motor will not turn on on any speed setting. I got out my test light and found out that the dark green wire (which I think is the power wire) isn't hot when the ignition is on.
I checked the fuse and it was good. I used the test light at the fuse box and it is hot there. I then checked the blower motor resistor to see if the dark green wire there was hot, and it was not either.
I then ran my own power wire from the fuse box to the switch just to see if I could get the blower motor to work on high. When the fan switch was on high, and the controls were set to "off" I got it to blow at a low speed. When I moved the selector to "vent" it would blow a little harder, but still not on high like it should.
I need to figure out what to do from here. I know how the resistor is wired to the switch, but I don't know how the rest of the controls are wired to tell the fan to come on when its on "vent" and stay off when its on "off".
I looked for a wiring diagram for the A/C controls but i couldn't find one.... that and i really don't know how to read a wiring diagram.
