Ive thought about doing the same thing. I was thinking about just using a flat black rustoleum paint.

spray paint. If it gets scratched or chipped, just take more spray paint and fix the spot. Why are you wanting to make it black anyways?

I understood that. I was just wondering why you would spray the inside of your wheel wells.

I just did this to the passenger side of my jeep. I will do the driver side next week if I get a chance.

I sprayed the area, Metal, plastic with brakecleaner. This will take off most of the paint and grime. Then I dried and sanded the area. I then painted the area with a bedliner paint. In black of course.

oh ok, from the way i said it i thought thats what it sounded like, reason being is that with my black wheels and my tires that i meticulously keep as black as my wheels, the red just sticks out like a sore thumb, and since my jeep is a faded red the color isnt the same as the jeeps exterior

Same thing here I bought the Rustoleum undercoating. Some other brands dry kinda brown I think that one does well and is black. If u spray it think but not to were it runs it will look rough like bedliner but takes a while to dry. Or just of get a bedliner kit like rhinoliner or something.
