Bizarre starting issue

I wonder if you bumped something else? The starter it's-self has a nearby engine ground right to the battery.
In any case you might want to double check that dipstick ground, (and ground cable). If it did indeed need that head ground, something else ain't right!
I went back through cruisers renix tips yesterday--that took care of everything.
As it turns out I knew cruiser back some 14 years ago! I mentioned in a pm that I use to live in Prescott as well and worked at a local automotive parts shop. After he mentioned who he was I realized that I not only knew him but I had also bought carburetor parts from him. Additionally, he gave great advice for jetting my mikuni carburetors on my 240z which I still drive today.
