What size do you run on your stock XJ? I have 15x8 rims I just purchased, but will 235/75/15 fit on those?

Those tires will fit on your rims.

Yes - with a 15x8 you could get some 255/70-15s if you want more width and stick with 29s.

I wouldn't go any bigger than 30x9.5s with stock flares/no trimming. If you tirm and your springs are in good shape, you may be able to fit 31s

I put my 33's on my stock MJ to move it around the yard, and they didn't rub with what little bit I moved it around. Fenders are not trimmed on the MJ. But my 33's are also skinny, and they were on stock wheels at the time. I'm planning on running 31x10.5's on it completely stock when I get it going again, shouldn't have any problems. I will bumpstop it though, and I won't be wheeling it, just a dd.

When first bought I had 30x9.5's, rubbed only when I made a tight left turn into a parking spot or a U turn. I just replaced all 4 same size, and no rub. I guess it rubbed bc of it needing an alignment and tread style/size

Yes. Don't even need rims for that.

Yes. I've had 235/75-15's on all of my Jeeps at stock height. Ran them on stock wheels on two of them, and on 15x8's with 3.75" backspacing on the other. My 90 is still stock with 235/75-15's.

I have 235x75r15 on my stock '98 currently with stock wheels (15x7). The front drivers' wheel would occasionally rub the fender when turning tight on some uneven terrain.
