Default Big old puddle on my floor....

Hey guys,

I've been having huge puddles on my driver's side floor of my
1996 4 door cherokee. Sometimes they are 3 or 4 inches deep.
Any ideas?

Drill a hole in the floorboard, or remove a drain plug and leave it out so the water can drain.

Problem solved.

don't wash the inside of your jeep with a hose?

Seriously, it may be a windshield gasket leak. Or leaking through the cowl to inside.

Probably need to do a water leak test with a garden hose.

I had the same issue, water was coming down from the driver side a-pillar top corner of the windshield. Used some clear sealant and no more water. Good Luck

I have a leak from my cowl where the cabin air comes in. It leaks on the passanger side and Ive read that I need to remove my dashboard in order to seal it up.

I got sick of the moldy smell in my truck so i removed the carpet, herculined the floor and added drain plugs. The carpet was nasty throughout anyway but now no stink or rust.

check if the drains on either side of the cowl are clogged. Causes flooded floorboards often (although usually passenger side...)
