Throttle Position Sensor Code won't clear
Hey guys. I have a 2000 Cherokee with 206k mi. Had a blown steering box seal and bad alternator bearings so I replaced the alternator and steering box.
Afterwards, the check engine light and airbag light stay on. After reading codes I see a code for TPS voltage high.
Went to Autozone and bought a new TPS, after swapping and clearing the code it lit right back up...
Mechanics were scratching their heads, couldn't figure out why the code would not erase.
Found an article on another forum about the clockspring... Unplugged the clockspring and the code vanished!
Put old TPS back in and all is good. Now need new clockspring...
Of all things to throw a code for the TPS...
