Smile Between the wiper + indicator switch and high beam rod

I apologise for the title as it's the only way i know how to describe my problem. My jeep is a 1994 Base model with no airbag. Headlights were not working from the wiper switch so I removed the steering, shroud and everything else to get behind the wiper switch and top end of the high beam rod that pushes into the Dimmer switch at the base of the dash. I cannot figure out how the wiper switch connects to the top end of the rod. I have searched this forum and the net only to find puny pictures of the wiper and Dimmer switch so I have no idea how or what to buy to fix this. I am in New Zealand and so jy stock is leaning more towards euro and Jap machines therefore a sh column would be hard to source.

I would very much appreciate photos / input from anyone who can help point me in the right direction. Cheers

Default Gm parts

Yes, i noticed that while doing searches. I managed to find one on ebay off a cutlass regal. Also, it looks like ac delco still make them and call them an "actuator" as suppose to "follower"
