Need some help to solve current problem. Have just returned from vacation and fired up the jeep. I now have what what look like my main beam lights on and the the high beam indicator illuminated. The rear lights are not on. When I put the lights on I can toggle from main to high beam but the high beamlight will remain illuminated. with car turned off and keys out lights remain on.The car is a 1996 cherokee sport. Any help or direction to resolving this royal pain the **** will be greatly appriciated.

Sounds like a ground or the switch.

What switch? The headlight switch or the mutli-function column switch? Additionally I am in Canada and we have daylight running lights, is there a relay for these and if so where would it be located and could this be a possible cause?
