after digging in, i found this inside my framerail:






It was in the passenger side framrail with two bolts in it holding the heat shield and exhaust hanger. I believe these are for the factory tow hitch but mine only has one, not two. Are these a dealer item that can be purchased?

I was just told in another forum that these are dealer items. I wonder if there's one for the driver's side? After hearing Bluexj's story on his experience with the hitch hardware, i rather have a bracket and be safe.
