Default Steering link PITA!!!

Have any of you had to replace the link that resides at the pitman?? I have gone all over town and every place uses the same part number and that is not the right part. The part # that everyone has is 52000608, this is not the right part for this application. I even went as far as to go to a 4x4 speciality shop, and they used the same number!! After pulling mine off, I've found that I actually don't need it, but it's the principle of the matter. I was told that maybe someone put the wrong part on my Jeep and that I could be comparing it to the wrong part to begin with. I checked my freinds XJ, and his has the same thing that mine has currently.....WTF!! This is what I have, which after pulling it it's fine.

And this is what I have been given four different times...WRONG!!!

What do you guys think is going on here?? This kinda crap drives me nuts!! Thanks for the help!!

Order it from gerr as the crown part uses the same part number you listed..I am guessing that the moog part # is inaccurate for some odd reason..

I had a difficult time finding the tie rod ends for the tie rod so i used a set for a tj. My drag link and pitman arm tie rod were what the parts store gave me. Didn't have any issues with that one. I got crown parts.

If I remember right, I ran into this of a sort.

There was a heavy duty and light duty end. The heavy duty end wouldn't fit/screw in to the collar. I didn't find the correct part number...ended up replacing the setup with one from a ZJ for strength.

Can't help much but the ZJ stuff is stronger...But looking in the picture, it almost looks like you have one ton TREs on the tie rod.

The correct part number for certain suppliers is: ES3096 Try your local Auto Zone or Napa.

Could it be for a ZJ?? Have not explored that option!! It does have a heavy duty steering upgrade, but I thought it was stock at this end. Why would my freinds XJ have the same link at the pitman, he does not have a HD steering kit like mine?? This is gonna drive me crazy!! Thanks for the input so far guys!! Peace out!!
