when you increase the amount of fuel you introduce into a motor you also have to increase air flow in and exhaust flow out to get any real benifit that means better intake bigger throttle body bigger exhaust and intake valves better flowing head bigger valves and so on and so on thats alot of money the spray pattern of the 4 hole injectors is what you are going for it burns the fuel in the combustion chamber better because it a finner mist being sprayed

You're not gaining power from the injectors, just throttle response and idle mainly. If you're looking for power, a bored throttle body, 99+ intake, free flow exhaust, snorkel (it's a true cold air intake) - these will get you actual POWER for not too much. The injectors are good upgrade to get a smoother running engine. Either way, if you're looking for a cheap upgrade, just do the injectors and don't worry about the fuel rail.

I tried the 703's (And 710's AND 715's) with both the 39psi and 49psi FPR's and really saw no difference as far as performance. Besides it's not even as easy as just changing the fuel rail and regulator. The fuel lines on your XJ and designed to hook up to the old fuel rail and won't plug into the 91-95 rail so then you are changing fuel lines as well. If you don't care about MPG and want the most "power" from the junkyard I would try the light blue Ford 715's first as they were the peppiest of all the "upgrade" injectors I've tried.

I run 4.6L Ford injectors out of a Crown Vic. they were a direct swap and they work great.

They are mainly in Taurus and Sables from around the 1999-2001 era..Maybe Contours also. But just with a specific engine but that size escapes me. They are probably the hardest of the upgrade injectors to get from a junkyard as they are underneath the intake manifold. You can't really even see them without looking under the side.

I have 2 sets I've completely rebuilt if you or anyone else is interested.

Vehicles are funny sometimes. Different engines require different amounts of fuel to produce the same or better results. You would think something like a Mustang would have a high performance fuel injector but actually they have injectors that put out less flow than the Neon ones.
