if its really as simple as plugging in a harness to the original wires, it doesnt sound too bad, i think i could do it myself. i thought id had to rip everything out completely.

Also, around the Zanesville area.

Sounds like i just need to put a harness in after all...

I personally have the rampage conversion housings from amazon. They are glass with a multifaceted reflector and a smooth face. I wired up my own relays for the power and with silverstar ultra bulbs and a proper aiming, I get great vision on low and fantastic vision on high. Never looked back ok that purchase.

I will agree the Hella E-codes give better visibility than the DOT approved ones (only because you can see what is to the left of the road without having to run your high beams). But if you get pulled over for any reason and the officer decides to check your lights you can be busted for using them. Of course if your Jeep is off-road use only then you can put whatever lighting system in there you want, barring any state or local laws that say differently.

Since its fresh. After this thread I decided to go ahead and get the putco harness just finished it and...

Wow. It lives up to everyones hype. As for installation absolutely a piece of cake. To anyone fearing "wiring" its no challenge whatsover as far as the electrical. There is more mechanical to this and all easy. Just adding to all the satisfied customers.

I can't imagine a US cop being looking at a set of E-code housings on a Cherokee and having the slightest idea they don't belong there.

Thank you. We sure don't try to bull**** or hype anything here that we haven't tried.

It's frickin amazing what the harness alone will do. Sooo easy to do.

@Gary notice the top right corner of the box says DOT so no they are not. @Shaky and Rj The police along a small stretch of St rt 73 in Ohio check every time they pull someone over (easy revenue and no time taken, either your lenses have DOT on them somewhere or they don't). Other than that one stretch of road, no one I know has ever been busted for their headlights.

I get that, are those autopals worth a $hit or not?

Basically are these worth buying?
