You should be able to burp it by filling it up first, then leave the radiator cap off, starting the Jeep, and wait for the t-stat to open, your level should drop, and when this happens add more coolant until full. Top off the over flow bottle, and replace the radiator cap, and take it for a drive, then check fluid level again. If you have lost more air in the system, the level in the over flow bottle will have dropped. If you need to add more, then do so. I would keep an eye on it for a few days, just to be on the safe side. This is assuming that your system is functioning properly!! HTH!!

Last time I did it my brother poured coolant into the radiator till it filled, then we started squeezing the upper hose, and it would cause the coolant to bubble, letting out air, and the level would drop, then we poured in more. Kept doing that till it wouldn't drop anymore. Ran it up to temp so the t-stat opened, then cut it off and did it again.

I went this way a few months ago and for the $3.99 that AZ charged me it was well worth it IMHO...Tj
