So, I know with VW's Bently's were the shizz to buy, nothing compared to them. Just wondering what you guys value to be the best written, most though service/repair manual out there. I know all the chain automotive stores have haynes and chiltons but with my Mkiv and Mkv VW's they were a no no. Any imput would be great

Thanks
Andrew

I agree that the factory service manual is the best publication for the XJ but, my tattered and ripped up old Haynes manual plus my own knowledge of how mechanical things work has gotten me through every repair I've done on my Jeep. The Haynes manual is very easy to get too because they are at most autoparts stores. The Chiltons now...you need to be able to read foreign language to understand that manual.
