Default Best place to get an exhuast kit?

I'm going to be replacing my exhaust system from the cat converter back in the near future and I was wondering if anybody would any suggestions/opinions on where is the best place to get an exhaust kit of decent quality and at a good price?

Thanks in advance.

Iron Rock Offroad. I have their 2.5" exhaust and it sounds mean.

If I had the skills to make my own, I probably would and no, I'm not looking for any special performance type of setup, just a direct replacement. So far I've found a kit on-line for $400, but I figured someone else might know of a place with a better deal.

But if you have any suggestions on performance exhausts that you think are worth the money, I appreciate that advice as well. Thanks.

I am ordering this one, with the middle hangar and a Magnaflow high flow cat, and am looking at $174.. the only thing you have to do after that is have an exhaust shop weld the middle hangar in... I am going to install the exhaust myself and then have the hangar welded in afterward... but that is because all shops around here want to charge me $400+ for an exhaust that is similar... so just a thought for ya... not to mention it would be helping out a vendor of CF as well as yourself...

Just go to a muffler shop and tell them you want a flowmaster super 40, 2 1/4 pipe from the header to the cat, 2 1/2 inch exhaust from the cat to muffler, 2 1/2 inch from muffler all the way out back or dump it. I'm pretty sure that will only run you about 180 bucks. 400 dollars for an exhaust is ridiculous! unless it comes with a good header. Go with APN header and this exhaust set up and it will be loud and lets the engine breath a whole! lot better. better mpg and throttle response. i spent a total of 300 bucks for header, flowmaster, cat and exhaust pipe. installed.

A buddy of mine put this on his XJ, 4.0 and it sounds almost like stock. maybe a little bit louder, i mean its everyones own opinion but dynomax seems kinda cheap from personal experience with them...

I had figured doing a quick Google search for "Jeep Cherokee Exhaust Kit" would not produce the best deal, that's why I love this site, it helps out the clueless people like me. Thanks the specific info and really, only $300? And by "installed" do you mean installed by the muffler shop or by yourself?

And thanks to everyone else for the advice as well. That's what makes this forum great.

Well i installed the Header myself, had the muffler shop put the new exhaust pipe and cat on. they charged 100 bucks for the pipe and installing the cat and re installing the super 40 muffler. The header was APN, it was 130, New Cat was 90. so it ran right at like 315 bucks once i had everything on. The Flowmaster had been on the Jeep for quite sometime it was 90 bucks. I mean if u want a nice exhaust setup the 300 i was saying meant without the new header being put on. Here is a link on the header (it will cost alot more if u have someone install it) The price went up a little bit http://www.ineedparts.com/auto-parts...-manifold.html

Get one from MUDFROG in the vender section. $105 dollars can't beat the price. I went with the flowmaster super 44 fit great just like OEM. You can also get a magnflow muffler instead of the 44 at the same price.

I just had a muffler shop put an exhaust on my F350 pickup. The custom bent the tubes on the spot and the whole cat back system cost a good bit less than the parts from Advance Auto...and I sat and read a magazine while they did the work. Took 40 minutes and cost $227. This is for cat to tailpipe. You can't buy parts that cheap.
