Hi all. Looking to replace the electric radiator fan assembly in my 93 XJ, and after a lot of research, I'm leaning towards the Dorman 620-001 unit. Just wondering if Dorman is OK? Living in New Zealand I'm not sure on the different manufacturers you have in the states. I can get the Dorman out of Rock Auto, whom I have used a lot in the past. The other one I'm looking at is a Omix-ADA, but this is about $35 dearer than the Dorman ($35 US dollars equals about $50 NZ dollars) PLUS extra shipping cost of US$70 !! Any advise would be appreciated.

I just replaced the electric fan in my '89 with a Dorman unit. Looks like the one I replaced, which I assume was the original. Sticker on it says "Made in Thailand". Fits, looks correct, works as it should.

Agreed, the Dorman replacement should work just fine and another +1 on Rockauto.
If you were looking to get something beefier I'd look at SPAL fans. They're more of a performance fan maker... expensive but they move a hell of a lot of air.
