I hear good things about Spicer. I've never changed mine, but read several threads recommending them. I've been thinking about doing this, but mine are fine so I think I'll wait until I do my lift, assuming they hold out that long

Anyone prefer a certain brand? If the jeep doesn't see much mud is there an advantage to greaseable u-joint? I looked up the spicers and they seem pricey.

All depends on what brand you buy, You should always replace with greasable joints when ever they are available. NAPA has a decent replacement and it is greasable

i will only run spicer these days.....broke to many auto parts store brands.
also if you have a greasable u-joint, the hole for the grease zerk becomes your weak point. i have broken every greasable u-joint i have ever put in.
i only run sealed u-joints because they dont have the hole and the u-joint is solid. i dont mind changing my u-joints due to lack of grease down the road rather than on the trail because i just wanted to grease my u-joints every time i go out.
go with sealed spicer u-joints!!!
ctm also makes bomb proof u-joints, but they are way over priced and you will break an axle or d-shaft before you break the u-joint.

Definately go with spicer. If you are running alloy front shafts.. I would upgrade to the cold forge spicer , but be careful about how much you upgrade your u-joints.. cause you move your weak link around. Personally I like to have my driveshafts be the weak link, cause breaking front shaft joints, or ring gears sucks.
