Bent my tailpipe so I cut it off
Hey everyone,
First of all wanna say thanks for all the help over the years, do all my research here and have learn a ton.
I was wheeling the other day and bent my tailpipe. Decided to cut off the bent section so that I wouldn’t restrict airflow. Previous owner said he put a decent cat back system & thrush muffler (don’t actually have a cat on it), so don’t want to redo the entire system.
Appreciate any and all advice. Cheers.

Assure that the shorter pipe does not heat up the rear most leaf spring rubber bushing. this can happen specially when the jeep is stopped for long periods, or creeping slowly. Make sure the exhaust is directed well away from the bushing. let her run when hot at a standstill for a while then feel the bushing to make sure it aint too hot. if too hot then add an extension to the pipe as needed to keep it cool.
