OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I think you're on to something Gaibertard!!!! I never thought to run it from the AC, around the idler and then to the Alternator. I think that move will take up the slack I get with every other configuation I've tried! It's like Christmas morning! I want to go out and attempt it now, but it's 3:03 AM and my neighbors would love me making noise. I'll let you know if it worked later. Thanks for the effort on the picture too! I wouldn't have minded if it was on the back of a snickers wrapper. If it works I'm doing a Snoopy dance in my driveway!!!

From your pic, I can't tell whether or not you have a pulley underneath your PS pulley. I assume you do, or SHOULD, and that is your tensioner pulley (marked "BELT REMOVAL"). If it's missing, that would certainly explain the lack of tension. Either way, here's a cell phone pic of the diagram on my fan shroud.

Looks to me like your 2.5 has a pulley next to the alternator that mine doesn't have, so this might not even help you. BUT, this is how my 2.5's belt is routed...
