Totaling a jeep, how absurd! I hate when insurance companies total cars that have perfectly good potential. They never think of the do-it-yourself-er that can fix it himself (or herself, not being judgmental) without taking it to a shop and spending thousands.

I took mine from a white body with gold trim n molding. To white body with black trim n molding. Using newspaper, paint tape and dupilcolor bedline armour .

i have looked all over trying to get a estimate of square footage for xj exterior not including the glass and had no luck. wanting to order some raptor liner to put on the outside of my xj. i come to the conclusion it will take about 3 gallons but still not sure. dont want to order way to much or def bot enough. can anyone help? anyone did before with raptor liner and how much did it take u?

It took me 3 gallons of herculiner. I put it on thick just to use all of it. I probably could have gotten away with 2 1/2 gallons. Hope that helps.

Variety in life is good. If every XJ was exactly the same this forum would be a dull and insipid exchange of nothingness.

I regret doing it now. Problem is once you've done it you are stuck with it. I have a new hood, fenders, and hatch. Just waiting on new doors. That will get rid of most of it.

This is what I did to mine. I did it because the PO had this wierd paint job where parts were smooth and spots felt as bumpy as bedliner. So I bedlined up to the second body line, and up the front to the roof, and the rear hatch, keeping the parts by the window the older color. I did not want to tape all that off. lol. I like it. I think I am going to try clear coating it, though, to protect it from dirt...

Lol. Yes once its done it like a tatoo for your jeep. I really like mine. I am glad I did it. No regrets.

I am the original owner of mine and after about 8 years the factory paint job was going south. So I decided to bedline it. I had seen a few trucks done at hunting shows/expo's and thought is was a pretty cool idea. I put a clear coat sealent on it but its faded now. I like how yours has turned out. Nice job.

I durabaked my rear quarters, front fenders and rockers. I bought their black with UV inhibitor and it has held up very well. No fading at all, a little tough to clean when it's muddy but, a brush cleaning makes it look as good as the day I put it on. I just recieved a can of their black and OD green in smooth with UV. Going to do my new Nates 4X4 bumpers in the black smooth and the rest of the jeep in the OD green. They say to use a 3/16 mohair roller and it will be come out smooth. I will post some pics at some point when I get it all done and the bumpers installed. I have the jeep OD green with spray cans now and it is starting to fade pretty bad so that is why I am going with OD smooth so it will hold up better in the long run. Check out their web site and see what you think. They will send free samples of their products in the mail so you can check it out before you buy it.

I did mine, I Herculine'd it a wile ago and it still looks great. Its all in the prep, and with a little tire shine it looks great again!
