Default battery corrosion issue help please

Been having an issue with my battery post corroding and causing my jeep to not start. Has all new cable, post were cleaned, I can't figure out why it corrodes up every couple of months. 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport, I'm the original owner. 150,000 miles.
any ideas?

I'm not seeing any leaks and it is a new battery.

Did this corrosion happen BEFORE your new battery was installed or is it happening only AFTER the new battery?

Do you have a multi meter? I would be interested to see what voltage you are seeing at power and ground.

Hey all thanks for the interest, had a problem logging back on to this site, sorry it took so long to get back on, OK, issue first started about a year ago. my battery and starter were replaced in 2020, so corrosion issue is well after that. Hppened again in Sept 2024 and I removed and cleaned all ground points under the hood, negative terminal cable removed and replaced. Recent incident it was some green corrision on inside of new negative terminal.
Testing with meter shows 12.31 across the battery, post to post, 12.37 positive to main ground. alternatior supply is showing a even or steady reading of 14 V.

That is about average, maybe a little low at battery.

Any issue other issues? No check engine light?

You could always coat your terminals with dialectic grease.

The best, easiest and cheapest thing to use is Vaseline

I have done this forever, and had it confirmed by various electrical engineers, one of whom was in charge of power station plant maintenance

Yes on the check engine light, it's always on due to a hot soak issue, I can turn it off for the winter and see what happens with that. Yes on the grease, always put that on after cleaning the post. I'm stumped!

Hey everybody, I've decided that I'm just going to go ahead and replace my battery since it is 4 years old. Thanks for all of your advice and help. I'm sure I'll be on here more as things go wrong with my truck. Over 150,000 miles now!

The battery case can outgas around the battery posts with no visible signs of any battery acid as it's gas. Can be from microcracks or mfg. defects.

Considering the average battery life in the U.S is around 4 years give or take a bit...yea replace the battery.......
