Came down pretty hard on my front end yesterday and I think its about time I replace all of my ball joints. I have a little bit of play in my driver's side lower ball joint (needs replacement more than all the others), is it ok to drive 80 miles home on paved mountain roads or should I have my rig towed? Once I get it to my garage I'll replace them but I'm not sure how safe it is to drive on it.

There's visible space between the ball joint and knuckle but no obvious damage so I'll just take it easy getting home. Hearing horror stories about the wheel folding up into the wheel well made me nervous, so I appreciate the prompt replies!
