Camber problem
Camber is off on driverside (tilted inward at top of tire). I replaced all steering components after slamming into a big rock, except ball joints. I cannot find any damage to ball joints using traditional methods.
Could the lower ball joint be bent, but still be snug at the knuckle, causing the camber problem? Toe-in is correct. No pulling or Death Wobble.
Every tire rotated to that wheel is suffering inside wear. Any ideas on how to do a thorough ball joint check? Thanks in advance.

How to check the ball joints on a Cherokee. >http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_6175543_re...ll-joints.html
Here's a video. >http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=tcUZRDQcovE#t=2s
I believe you may have a bent knuckle/spindle though.

Thank you for the post and video. I found no slack in the ball joints using the pry bar method. I measured the distance on the knuckle from top to bottom and it is excactly the same as the other knuckle on the pass side. I noticed some minor play in the u-joint. Do you think that would change the angle of the shaft and cause negative camber ? Also, the camber does not correct itself when the the jack is raised and lowered...stays the same. Thank you.

Specialty alignment products offer offset ball joints for 105.99 each which are a specialty made allignment ball joint. my axle is not bent (has zero deflection in the tube)the outer C's are what are bent on mine. the alignment ball joints are what solved my inner tire wear problem.
Get an alignment done see where you are at (they will give you degree readings and tell if your current balll joints are worn) then you can go from there. it may be a toe in problem too

Offset Balljoints Rock! I installed a 1* on the left and a .5* on the right. My camber is now straight up. You have to get a measurement from the alignment shop to find out how much you're off and then buy that offset degree ball joint. They come in .5* increments.

Additionally you could benefit from re-inforcing your C's.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the posts. My camber is negative by at least 5 degrees. Just wandering if the offset ball joints will fix a problem that severe without putting a bind on the u-joint.
In short...I would appreciate any ideas on how to determine what is damaged. i.e. knuckle, shaft...etc. only able to find a small amount of play in the u-joint, nothing else. Thanks again
