Default Bad sound :(

When the jeep is being driven, at about 1300 rpms.. I can hear a metalish clunking sound.. which goes away if I drive the jeep faster, it feels like its coming somewhere from the front and is on the 'center' line of the jeep.. any ideas where to look?

you check it through the inspection cover or dust plate whatever you want to call it could very well be loose torque convertor bolts they come loose and will cause lots of raquet and i would recomend putting on a cover just to keep crap out of there not sure it necesary but its helps if nothing else

UPDATE: The clunk goes away when I press the brake a bit, and comes back upon release! Where should I look? And I looked at the flexplate, it seemed fine.. couldn't get a good idea though..

the problem with the flexplate is the bolts come loose you have to actually check and make sure they are tight but as for the braking check you calipers mine made a horrible clunking sound then you would hit the brakes and it would stop i replaced the calipers and found that one of them was cracked and hitting the wheel not sure why it stopped when i hit the brakes but i replaced em and no more problems

there are a few bolts on it you will have to rotate the engine by hand to make sure to tighten each one not sure on how many there are

The bad is gone guys, it was due to the brake caliper something thing. Opened it, lubed it, fitted it back properly and its fine now.. nothing seemed to be missing though.
