bad rusted rocker panels
ok well ya c im lookin to trade my tacoma for a 92 cherokee lerado.. its really prety nice but the worse part is that the rocker panels on the pasenger side are rotted out for about 9 inches.. how hard is it to just cut out the hole rocker and weld in a 2,4 inch square tubing in its place..
Sounds like your rockers are rusted as bad as mine where. I used a pice of 4x2" 1/8 wall welded to 1x2" to make 2x5" steel tube, when welded 2 cleats up in the A and B pillars. spot welded any good sheetmetal left to my new rockers, welded some angle iorn in on the inside edge to weld my new floorboards to "they where rusted as well".
worked great, looks good, and shouldnt rust out any time soon.

You can get away with removing the flares and some minor fender trimming for AT 33's.
Anything with large side lugs like swampers require more trimming to clear.
My 92 with 4" lift and 4" BS rims is cut almost to the outline of where the original flare was and it still rubs when turned tight.
Before you remove the flares take a grease pen and outline the flares so you have a pattern to cut by.
