Default Bad Ignition Switch

I have a 1990 driver and an 89 for parts. Is it easier to swap columns or to swap switches? The parts jeep has all the same options as the driver.

And I'm talking about the electrical switch, not the tumbler.

I did the ignition switch on mine in May. I still don't have it adjusted correctly (haven't tried either). They seem to vary from year to year. For mine I had to lower the steering column to get to it and that's about all.

Is it on top of the column?

I'm pulling the parts one out right now. It's not the worst job I've done
