Bad day.
Came back home, it was driving just fine. After a short while, had to go and there is all started. The jeep wont start now.. there is no spark.
Did a computer reset and cranked again, recorded the following codes..
12..
44 = P1493 Ambient/Batt Temp
Sen VoltsToo Low
Battery temperature sensor input voltage below
an acceptable range.
or
P1492 Ambient/Batt Temp
Sensor VoltsToo High
Battery temperature sensor input voltage above
an acceptable range.
24 = P0122 Throttle Position
Sensor Voltage Low
Throttle position sensor input below the
minimum acceptable voltage
or
1B P0123 Throttle Position
Sensor Voltage High
Throttle position sensor input above the
maximum acceptable voltage.
TPS Voltage Does
Not Agree With MAP
TPS signal does not correlate to MAP sensor
22 = ECT Sensor Voltage
Too Low
Engine coolant temperature sensor input below
minimum acceptable voltage.
or
1F P0118 ECT Sensor Voltage
Too High
Engine coolant temperature sensor input above
maximum acceptable voltage.
23 = Intake Air Temp
Sensor Voltage Low
Intake air temperature sensor input below the
maximum acceptable voltage.
or
3A P0113 Intake Air Temp
Sensor Voltage High
Intake air temperature sensor input above the
minimum acceptable voltage.

I've got the details from a 97XJ manual.. any ideas what should I do? And Also keep in mind, that the GEN light occasionally used to come on.. and turned it off itself. Why would that be? And however, I checked the voltage at the battery, it was about 12.50 volts.. when I failed to start the jeep and after like 10 mins, i checked the volts at the battery.. it was fine..
Could it be CPS? I tried to check the resistance across the terminals of the CPS, but couldn't get any idea.. any one know a better way to check the CPS?
I'm not getting any spark, it just keeps on cranking. And these codes were obtained when I reset the computer and then tried to start the JEEP. And then these codes showed up.

And oh, it was acting weird today. Didn't start up on the first try. I drove it for like 30 kilometers..and had like three stops.. it did start up every time but after 3 or 4 tries..

get a fuel pressure gauge and test it through the schrader valve on the fuel rail if you dont have spark theres a good chance its your cps try unplugging it and plugging it back in and cleaning up the terminals

sounds like something has ripped your entire electric system out.
Just glanced (at work) but looks like all those codes were low voltage related.
And no spark.
Look to the electric side of things, the alternator could have fried the computer. I've seen alternators do weird weird things some times when they fail...

How can I check the Cps?
I have got info from JEEP FORUM and lunghd but the problem is that both pieces of information are opposing to each other.

there is no resistance! now what?
CHECK ENGINE and GEN lights are both ON.. and they even come on immediately after a RESET as well!

this would be my first start just because the battery said 12.5 volts when sitting does not mean its ok take it to a auto-zone or place like that that will test it for free. if you are not getting the correct voltage stuff will stop working.

it is a free check i would have it looked at to eliminate a problem. that way you know what its not and go from there. and if you have a pick a part that has xjs in it see if you can try a computer from them before buying to make sure that its ok.
