hey guys
what is the difference between those 2 axles ???

i used to have in my xj this axle showing above , it was an open differential
with only 1 wheel running
and before 1 week i changed it to one showing below , this one is a bit smaller then the one i had before , but its a locked differential running with both wheels with the same power

are they both 35 dana ??? or what exactly ??

I just switched from a Dana 35 to a Chrysler 8.25, main reason is because it's stronger. If you put a lunchbox locker in that 8.25, it'll perform better than the 35 with limited slip. I wouldn't get rid of that 8.25 just yet if I were you.

The lunchbox locker is a bit expensive , I think it's about 500 $
I bought the 35 Dana for around 350$
