Default Axle Thrust Washers?

I recently got my aussie locker for my chrysler 8.25 29 spline. it says in the instructions to buy new thrust washers under the axle gears. i've called o'reiley, auto zone, the dealership and each place doesn't know what im talking about. I called aussie and they are going to get back with me. does anyone have a part number for this? Thanks in advance

These are the washers that are all ready in your carrier pushing on your spider gears. Might want to try a gear dealer like Randy's ring and pinion

They say to use new washers just to cover their butts if something goes wrong.

So does the dealer carry these thrust washers? One of mine was cracked right on the chrysler symbol that's cut out on them. (weak point?) I need one asap cuz obviously I can't reuse it.

Thanks FrankZ. I searched all night long and came up empty and now there it is.

I got a reply on naxja recently and they said the symbols stamped on the washers are actually thickness symbols.

The shims come in varying thicknesses. The Service pack has 4 sets of shims.Pick the one closest to what you have.
I used part #04883085 That # was good in 2000 when purchased-
The shims are marked--- none(0) .032 thickness
triangle .037
Square .042
Diamond .047
Also listed in the instructions are packages #4131293 and # 4131294
The stamped symbol you saw was the thickness code.
I'm guessing my chrysler symbol is actually a diamond? It seemed like it was around .027-.030 thickness, which doesn't match the diamond specs. I dunno....

You can reuse them as long as the locker is within specs with them. Mine came out to .013 thickness with the stock thrust washers, which is acceptable.
