axle splines?

is there any easy way to find out how many splines i have?

you have 27 all around.

D30 is 27, and the rear is either a 8.25 or D35 and theyre both 27.

if thats the case then why does quadratec offer lockers for 29 spline chryco rear ends

The newer XJ's 97 to 01 have a 29 spline axle in the 8.25 axle

During the '96 model year they switched to a 29 spline 8.25.
