I think you should be okay. Take it easy around corners and curves though. Some people run without sway bars all the time.

As far as extensions go, thats up to you. A lot of the 3" lifts dont even come with sway bar link extensions. I installed a Rustys kit that didnt have them and it was fine.

Yeah whether ya need new end-links depends on the amount of lift. I run around 4.5" and I put new links in. Now the factory style links come in 2 lengths..7 1/4" and 8 1/4" so you can run the 8 1/4" on probably up to around 4-5" lifts an be ok.. My endlinks measure 8 1/4".

oh and you can get two for 25 bucks on ebay where autozone wants 27 for one. also the grand cherokee end links look the same as cherokee ones, does anyone kno if there is an advantage to the GC ones if you swap them over to a cherokee

Get it fixed a soon as you can. Just take it easy around corners until you do. You will be fine for a short time. Stock links will be fine for your 2" lift. I only extended mine like 4" for a 6" lift. You really do need to put some kind of quick disco set up on your XJ though. I busted 2 driver's side link ends sense lifting my Jeep. I must disconnect mine everytime I go off road.

I know when I broke my endlinks I tried goin to the JY to pick one up, and all of the JY's around here actually cut them when they are taking the parts off, so I was SOL.

You ought to tell you local JY owner that he "cutting" himself out of some serious cash everytime he "cuts" those links apart on a Jeep to save himself some time. Everytime I see a new XJ in my local junkyard. The first thing I snag is the front sway bar links.

If you are running 3" and 6" lift, what are you doing with stock sway bar links?
