anyone know a good write up on how to do the swap or what i actually need to swap from my stock axle? As for welding the tube what excatly does that mean? I will start looking for a 95 or older explorer. any more help will be much appreciated

your drive shaft angles... so that when you weld your new perches on your drive shaft angle is the same...

ahh, okay. is there a simple way figure this angle and ensure that i keep that angle the same?

i would like too throw a question out here i have a chief with a D44 rear end correct it has the tow package how rare is that i got a 44 stock?

amost all XJ's have a hitch and wire hookup... whether or not yours came from the factors (not the dealer)is a different story... its not unheard of rare but not nearly as common as the other 2 choices

i am almost positive because of the metal drain plug and dana badge with the 44 diff cover... i didnt have enough brake clean to read the tag xD i will probably check some time this week

Im pretty sure it is only the 87 xjs with the tow package.... maybe you got lucky or something lol

i really hope so! i am still prettty positive :]] if it is... do i got a pretty good project infront of my eyes? November 1-5 is my registration date w/ the D44 in the rear its got a lot of potential? Not too sure if anyone would like to follow up on my S.Y.E thread if so please post! tell me what i got posted it kinda late :] i am nocturnal lol xD
