Default AX-15 replacement clutch

What brand or replacement clutch kit are people using on their AX-15 trannys? I know they aren't too expensive, but I 'd like to find out what has been working best for people. I'm also curious where people are finding them. I found an AMS Clutch Kit for $147 on quadratec, but I think I could find one cheaper, and I don't know what the quality is like. I'm going to be living on my own next year, and if something happens, I want to be prepared and know what to order, or just keep a spare. I'm mainly wondering what brands to look out for. what do you all recommend?

thanks

I got over 500,000km on my factory clutch so I think its pretty good. I would definitely by mopar again. The release bearing on the other hand is a piece of junk. Im on #3 and engine just got rebuilt and stroked to 4.7L and the old clutch still keeps it tight. put in a 6 speed with my old clutch and external release bearing cylinder. Loving it.

Thought I'd post this link up, not so easy to find I guess. Complete step by step clutch replacement on a 97.

Luk seems to be highly recommended by most. I heard that "Napa" clutches are actually Luk clutch kits, so I looked into it and I found that the napa clutch kit part # is identicle to the Luk part #. They even use the same photo on the website.

So I bought the napa clutch kit, will be installed sometime this week or next.

Great find! Thanks!

I'm just in the middle of pulling the ax15 out of my 99 right now. Got as far as removing the drive shafts and starter motor, but this step by step will be great to follow!

Yea, aint' that a gem? At some point a year or so ago it might have been the only one. I did my 84 years ago in the mud in pouring rain. I don't remember anything out of the ordinary except it's heavy with the Transfer case. Made a plastic tent, piece of plywood, little floor jack. The exterior slave leaks at the moment. I went here.
