Default AW4 transmission solenoid quality

Hi All, the converter lockup solenoid in my 2001 XJ has left the building at 225,000 miles. I'm going to replace it, and I figure I might as well replace all 3 solenoids, the filter, and the pan gasket at the same time. I'm looking for advice from people who have actually replaced their solenoids. Where is a good source for high quality solenoids (and filter) that will last? There are tons of online sources, but the prices vary wildly, and they don't usually state what brand the parts are. I don't mind paying whatever they cost; I just don't want to end up doing the job again in a year. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't think the quality varies much between the brands, and they're all coming out of the same plant. I've been getting them off Amazon, about $65 for the set and never seen any complaints about the aftermarket ones failing. Just some comments about needing to trim the mounting tabs to get them to fit right, or needing to zip-tie the old wiring connectors on.

The filter is really just a mesh screen you can hose out with brake cleaner, so don't overpay just to get a kit with it.

Like lawsoncl said. I replaced mine last year with a set from Amazon (Autex I think) and they have been doing fine. And I did have to make the mounting tab hole bigger. If you want a name brand, get the ATP brand from RA.

But as you plan to do, do replace all of them while you have the pan off. If not, the others will fail soon after.

Also, make sure to test the resistance from the plug in the engine bay, just to make sure they need replacing.
