Transmission confusion
Ive scoured the sight looking for information on my transmission 98 4dr 4wd classic, tag reads 30-43le so its a aw4 as far as my knowledge goes. The torque converter doesnt lock up, so figured id replace the fluid and solenoids(i have already cleaned throttle body, replaced tps, replaced brake light switch, adjusted cables, etc as other threads have suggested). Searching for the solenoids on the common websites(advanced, auto zone, oreillys) they all suggest a solenoid that goes with the 30rh trans. watching videos on replacing the solenoids they dont look the same(30rh is more square, while aw4 in the videos look round). Any information would be great. thanks in advance
p.s. apologies for the new account but i have done as much research as i can, but i find myself going in circles. so before I pull the pan and find i got the wrong parts i thought id ask.
also i did see a few post with part links but they are no longer valid links

No need to apologize. If anything thank you for doing your homework first!
I recommend measuring the solenoid resistance from the connectors under the hood. Look for solenoids that say A340 or AW4. The AW4 is essentially a Toyota transmission, and the 30RH is a chrysler trans used in the Grand Cherokees. Plenty of kits on Amazon for about $70. Some of the after markets look slightly different, some have the connector on the solenoid and some have a short pigtail with a connector. They all work, and I think they all come out of the same factory in China. No need to replace the filter. It's just a metal screen that you can rinse out. DO NOT over torque the screws that hold the pan on. They get 7 ft-lbs which is moderately snug with a small ratchet. Any more and you'll bend the edge of the pan and cause a leak or worse strip the aluminum threads out of the trans. Dex/Mercon on the fluid, not ATF4+.

appreciate the response. I think the fact that some come with pig tails and some dont also threw me off, but i believe i found a kit with all 3 so im going to give it a go and if theyre wrong ill keep on searching.
ordered a kit off ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/191825996810 . i measured the old solenoids after i removed them, found the tcc solenoid OL and the 1-2 at 15.3ohms(spec i believe is 11-14). replaced them all(i did ohm out the new solenoids all in the low 13ohm range). the torque converter is now locking up and other shifts are slightly smoother aswell. the only issue with the solenoids are the bolt holes didnt line up exactly i had to wallow them out a hair and they went right in(the tcc solenoid was fine out of the box). other then that they are working perfectly. will update in the future.

Just to give you some hope, that's the exact listing I bought 3 years ago and not an issue since. Solenoids it turned out were the very reason I first made my account here.
