Default aw4 with p700/p705 codes

yoo i have a 98 cherokee sport with 700/705 codes says its nss took it off cleaned it got my reverse lights back still starts in every gear and cant clear codes any help ? thanks jeepin jim

check wiring to the switch. if you cant clear the code it has an lpen/shorted circuit. it has more to do than just starting and reverse lights.
if wiring checks out, replace switch

If it still starts in every gear after cleaning it, replace the neutral safety switch.

Dealer prices are high. Consider a salvage yard NSS or Team Cherokee offers them for about half of the dealer.

These codes are directly involved with your NSS issue.

i have a similar issue with mine, i have p700,p705, and 1899 codes. any suggestions for the 1899 code?
