Funny thing is, he spent 350 dollars on an Aussie... buddy bought his direct, cost 257 shipped to his front door...

Yeah there is a major difference in price if you are comparing an Aussie for a D30/35 vs a 8.25.

ex. Direct from Aussie

D30/35: $239.99
8.25: $299.99

thank you, i have had many people tell me i was crazy for spending that much that they got theirs for alot cheaper. different axle = different price.....

haha no worries! I would rather spend the extra money and have a decent axle like a 29 spline 8.25 than worry about grenading a D35

I've been looking around at the Aussie locker for my 8.25 and $299 is the best price I can find. Any suggestions on where I could find detailed pictures or video for the install??

Im guessing when he pulled the carrier the shims fell out from each side???

if you dont want to drop the Coin on a shop get gear marking compound....and fix it.

that's all a shop is gonna do...
The hardest part about gears IMO is pinnion Depth.
