Looking to get an aussie locker for my dana 35c is this wise or is the 35 prone to breakage or should i be fine for just mild mud and sand and light stuff like that no way will i be crawling or anything just looking to give my 2wd a little extra traction to keep up with the 4wds

 

I ran an Aussie in my old 35 with 33s and I love rocks and didn't have issues somehow. I moved up to 35s and broke the first trip out, tried alloys and broke them too.

i have a welded d35 on 33s and havent had any problems. i care spare shafts and a carrier. i run an aussie in my d30 and love it!! it was cheap and easy to install and bumped up my xjs wheeling tons.

 

Yes and then some.

 

Lockit stay under 33" tire and you'll be OK. With 2wd it is doubtfull you will ever go anywhere, sever enough to be an issue.

D35 gets a bad rep on these sites. BUT most of that is hear say and exagerated. I have seen just as many HD BUILT axles break as I have D35s. Most of the time when an axle breaks it's the fault of the driver NOT the axle.
