anyone know how to replace door hinge pins?

Exclamation anyone know how to replace door hinge pins?

I have a 2000 jeep Cherokee door pins on the driver side are worn out. I cant get them to pound out. Anyone ever done this before pictures are appreciated. thanks in advance.

I haven't done mine yet, but have the same problem. I've read that you need to cut the pins with a dremel tool or something similar, then pull the 2 halves out.

Hopefully someone else will chime in who has done this, cause I'd like to know more before I start.

Did it on my '99 a few weeks back, you must chop the pin with a dremel then punch the 1/2s out. Dorman industries produces a replacement part. Remove the door with a friend its the easiest (& only?) way.

I had to heat up my hinge and used a air hammer to get my pins out.

Try and use just the air hammer, some of my pins came out with just using the air hammer.

92 might be different, i believe they redesigned them in the late 90s due to door tearing. The pins are flared both ends on later XJs.

How do u get the new pins in? I got the old ones out, 2000 jeep cherokee classic.
